AGU Fall Meeting 2025 will be held in New Orleans from 15–19 December 2025. My postdoctoral advisor, Dr. Newsha Ajami, will present our latest work on modeling the impacts and trade-offs of co-located energy transition pathways. This work represents the second phase of our LBNL LDRD-funded project. Building on the earlier work led by my colleague Dr. M. Tamim Zaki, I developed a coupled Agent-Based Modeling (ABM) and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) framework that translates the proposed integrated impact assessment structure into a quantitative model.

I’m excited to share that I will be presenting our recent work at the NeurIPS 2025 Workshop on Tackling Climate Change with Machine Learning in San Diego on December 7, 2025. Building on our ongoing efforts at LBNL, I developed a coupled Agent-Based Modeling (ABM) and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) framework to translate an integrated impact assessment structure into a quantitative model. This framework captures bidirectional interactions between decision-making and environmental impacts and is applied to a case study in Southern California.

AGU Fall Meeting 2024 is coming. This is the first professional and international conference attended after graduating and joining Berkeley Lab. I will present my postdoctoral work on developing a conceptual framework through literature review to evaluate inter-dependencies among energy transition & decarbonization pathways, natural resources, and environmental & social impacts. My colleague, Tamim, is the lead author of this task. In addition to assisting with its development, my primary role is to translate the conceptual framework into a quantitative model.

AGU Fall Meeting 2023 is coming. I will serve as a chair of the GeoHealth (GH23): Surviving the Dry Spell: Understanding the Connection Between Drought Health, which will be held from 14:10 to 15:40 on December 12. Here is the abstract of the session. Drought is a natural disaster that can have a profound impact on the environment, economy, and human health. Droughts can lead to food and water scarcity, malnutrition, water-borne diseases, and increased environmental hazards, such as smoke, dust, and heat.
